I’m J.D. Harbor, a romance novelist and travel advisor who believes the best stories begin with a little adventure, whether it’s lived in real life or waiting on the page.

Before I started writing fiction, I served as a military photojournalist, where I learned how powerful storytelling can be. Capturing real moments and shaping them into something people could feel changed the way I saw the world. These days, I write emotionally rich contemporary romances set at sea, inspired in part by meeting my wife on a cruise. My RomantiSea Serenades series invites you aboard the Elysian Serenade for stories filled with love, humor, personal growth, and the kind of connection that can change everything. The series began with Emerald Tide and Sapphire Seas and continues with Scarlet Wave and Golden Shores, with each story offering its own romantic journey.

When I’m not writing, I help people plan unforgettable vacations of their own. I’ve taken more than 20 cruises, many of them as a solo traveler, and I’m a frequent visitor to Disney and Universal parks around the world. I bring that firsthand experience into every trip I help create, so whether you’re planning your first cruise, a solo escape, or a theme park vacation, I want your journey to feel personal, memorable, and worth every moment.
